Description
What this kit enables you to do, is to install a reliable and high effective BSD (Blind Spot Detection System) which also incorporates an RCW (Rear Collision Warning System). The system designed by INNOVV uses the latest millimetre wave radar technology with a frequency range of 77-79 GHz, which then via an advanced software algorithm is able to detect and track target vehicles from both sides of the motorcycle and directly at the rear.
This information is then displayed visually to the rider via the LED warning triangle embedded within the OEM BMW mirrors, providing clear visual notification of detected vehicles.
The system has a wide angle (150°) field of detection and a distance range of 50 meters and is able to detect up to 64 individual targets within that zone.
The ThirdEYE system has 3 main modes of detection:
- BSD (Blind Spot Detection)
- LCA (Lane Change Assist)
- RCW (Rear Collision Warning)
In addition to the INNOVV ThirdEYE kit you will also receive the following parts, which will enable you to have a high level of “fit and finish” on your motorbike.
- 2 x OEM BMW R 1300GS mirrors with internal LED warning triangle illumination.
- 1M of durable and flexible outer cable tubing / sleeving
- 2 x ( 5cm x 10mm ID ) heat shrink tubing
- 6 x small cable ties
- 1 x Posi-tap connector
Please note: This kit has been specifically designed to work in conjunction with the OEM BMW mirrors. It is not possible to modify or adapt either of the original INNOVV ThirdEYE systems (Watch or Mirror) version to work with the OEM BMW mirrors due to the different voltage and current requirements.
